Delhi International Arts Festival


Delhi International Art FestivalThe city of Delhi turns into a vibrant and lively centre of arts and culture in the months of October to February. The city plays host a many diverse cultural events, fairs and festivals at various locations. One of the most prominent Arts festivals which are organized annually is the Delhi International Arts Festival.
Delhi International Art FestivalDelhi International Arts Festival (DIAF) India’s ‘Signature Festival’ is the longest multi arts, multi venue cultural festival. DIAF is the only Cultural Festival that is based on public-private-partnership with Union Government and State Government agencies involved with NGO’s, Corporate’s and the civil society, to create the lasting cultural equity for the nation. DIAF brings global perspective in terms of aesthetic and artistic experience into the city simultaneously offering local artists the opportunity to interact and perform in an international context. The festival began in 2007 and this is its 5th year in running; with time, it has only got bigger, grander and more appealing.
Delhi International Art FestivalSome of the prominent artists/groups performing in this year’s  festival are Sangeeta Dash, Rani Khanam, Utazo Katsura, Jeff Lang, Vani Ganapathy, Sanjib Bhattachraya , Juan Manuel Fernandez Montoya ’Farruquito’ and Mawlawyiah dervish group, besides some other very accomplished international artists.
Delhi International Art FestivalThe dates of Delhi International Arts Festival 2011 are 31st October to 15th November. The format is multi-arts, multi-venue with the participation from about 15 Countries in various segments and a 2500 strong indigenous artistic component. Around 50 venues will come alive during the festival period with world class professionals performing alongside special segments created for the youth and children.
