Andaman and Nicobar – The Emerald Islands!!

Andaman & NicobarThe Andaman and Nicobar are a group of 394 islands in the Bay of Bengal in the southern end of India. The Andaman and Nicobar are two groups of islands with Andamans separated from the Nicobar group by a channel some 150 km (93 mi) wide. The Islands are popularly known as Emerald Islands as they look like emeralds in the ocean when viewed from the sky.
The Andaman group has 325 islands while the Nicobar group has only 24 islands.  The Islands, due to their remote geographic location are blessed with pristine beaches, fragile coral reefs, unique tropical rainforest canopy, indigenous people and diverse fauna.
Andaman & Nicobar IslandsThe Islands are a delight for beach lovers, with many pristine beaches dotting the island. The Government of India is promoting eco tourism in selected islands in the group to boost the economy of the inhabitant people and also provide travellers and unique destination in India.
The Islands have pleasant weather throughout the year and are an ideal destination to visit any season.
There are many places one can visit while in Andaman, however, this series travels to the most popular and accessible places (relatively speaking as Andamans’ is quite remote!!) This travel series chronicles journey to the Andaman Islands in three parts:-
